Twentieth Century Fox Television has promoted Liz Paulson to senior vice president of Casting.

If you like the ensembles on “Empire,” “New Girl,” and “The Last Man on Earth,” you should really know her name. Maybe even consider congratulating her on Twitter. Paulson’s boss Sharon Klein used a press release to do just that.

“Liz came to the studio seven years ago, having worked in the commercial casting world, and she has really made her mark,” the Casting executive vice president said. “She’s whip smart, wildly creative and an incredible business woman, and everyone, from the Chairmen to our showrunners, relies on her greatly, as do I. I’m so happy to recognize her with this promotion to Senior Vice President which she has more than earned.”

Paulson joined 20th Century Fox TV as a vice president in the department in November 2010. She began her career in Casting 15 years ago in the commercial landscape. Early on, she worked with Jason Winer and Todd Harthan.

Nowadays, Paulson (pictured above) covers a large portfolio of shows on Fox, including “Star,” “Rosewood” and the “24” franchise, as well as FX’s “American Horror Story” anthology. She also currently oversees casting for CBS’ “Life in Pieces,” ABC’s “Fresh Off the Boat” and NBC’s “The Carmichael Show.”

The new SVP resides in Los Angeles.
