Jeff Mook will leave the company in December after his position is eliminated
Jeff Mook will step down as executive vice president and chief human resources officer at the end of Decemeber, 21st Century Fox COO Chase Carey told employees this week. His position will be eliminated.
21st Century Fox brass decided to structure its human resources operations differently after it split from News Corp. last June. Post breakup, 21st Century Fox contains television and film brands such as 20th Century Fox and Fox News, and News Corp. manages print and digital publications such as the Wall Street Journal.
“I want to thank Jeff for leading our global human resources function and his significant efforts during a transformative time for the Company,” Carey wrote in a memo obtained by TheWrap. “Throughout his four years here, he made substantial contributions driving HR best practices and played a key role in shepherding the Company’s seamless and expeditious separation process over the last year plus.”
Mook joined the company in 2010 after 25 years as a consultant. He worked with such companies as ACNielsen, Reader’s Digest, DuPont and The Interpublic Group.
He took over as global head of human resources post from Beryl Cook in 2011.
