Amazon Gets Exclusive Rights to Stream ’24’

All previous seasons of the Fox drama will stream on Amazon Prime, along with the upcoming event series “24: Live Another Day”

Fox drama “24” will stream all eight of its past seasons exclusively on Amazon Prime Instant Video, which will also be the sole online carrier of upcoming event series “24: Live Another Day” after its initial TV run.

As part of its licensing agreement with Twentieth Century Fox Television Distribution, Amazon has become the exclusive online subscription streaming service for 192 episodes of the spy thriller as well as its TV movie spinoff “24: Redemption.”

Kiefer Sutherland returns to his role as Jack Bauer in “24: Live Another Day,” a 12-episode event premiering May 5 on Fox.

Amazon will be the only online subscription service to carry that series when it becomes available for streaming later this year.

“24” had previously been available on Netflix and Hulu, which is partly owned by Fox. The latter service now only offers extra content like behind-the-scenes clips and web-exclusive interviews.
