Based on the British series, “Dead Boss” is a comedic mystery that finds ambitious, driven, career-focused Helen Stephens (Krakowski) wrongfully convicted of murdering her boss. Innocent of the crime and with work piling up on her desk, she is stunned by the guilty verdict — but remains optimistic that the whole mess will be straightened out shortly.

In the interim, Helen must rely on her train wreck sister to prove her innocence.

The “Dead Boss” pilot was ordered by Fox in January.
