50 Cent to Recur on Starz Series 'Power'

Rapper/actor will play an old friend of club owner/drug kingpin

Curtis '50 Cent’ Jackson has added “cast member” to his list of duties on the upcoming Starz drama “Power.”

Jackson, who's among the executive producers on the project, has signed on for a recurring role on the series, which is currently in production in New York.

The series, which was created by Courtney Kemp Agboh (“The Good Wife”), centers on wealthy New York club owner James “Ghost” St. Patrick, who's living a double life as both a budding business mogul and a drug kingpin who caters to a high-level clientele.

Jackson will plan Kanan, an old friend of St. Patrick, who's being played by Omari Hardwick (“Sparkle”). The cast also includes Lela Loren, Naturi Naughton and Joseph Sikora.

Agboh will also serve as an executive producer as well as showrunner, with Mark Canton (“300”), Randall Emmett (“2 Guns”) and David Knoller (“Big Love”) executive producing as well.

    This script was a mess. Talk about blacksploitation… even Tyler Perry wouldn't do this to his peeps. Just because 50 is attached is not a reason to order a pilot to series. PLEASE remember that Starz. What happened to you guys? Something was lost in that move from HBO.
