’80s Don Draper Is the Best Thing on Twitter Right Now

"Mad Men" executive loses Jaguar — but lands Yugo

Don Draper is still a relatively young man on the 1960s-set "Mad Men" — so it makes sense that he'd still be going strong in the 1980s.

The Twitter feed '80s Don Draper, written by comedian John McNamee, imagines the advertising genius applying his deepest thoughts to one of our shallowest decades. Among his best insights:

"People don't want to avoid the Noid. They want to be him."

"We'll call them Members Only, but sell them to everyone."

"Style. Elegance. Yugo."

Since debuting two weeks ago, the feed has accrued more than 25,000 followers and become the best thing on Twitter. That I've seen. Lately.

We reached out to 80s Don Draper for comment, but haven't heard back. Perhaps Peggy's holding all his faxes.
