Psy Goes ‘Gangnam Style’ to WME From CAA

The pop star's hit single "Gangnam Style" was the first YouTube video to cross one billion views

WME has signed YouTube phenomenon Psy to represent in all areas, luring the Korean pop star from rival CAA,  TheWrap has learned.

Psy, who is managed by Scooter Braun, was previously at CAA with Braun's other star client, Justin Bieber.

Psy became a household name when his exuberant music video for hit song "Gangnam Style" went viral and became the first YouTube video to cross one billion views.

The budding multi-platform star parlayed the worldwide success of "Gangnam Style" into an appearance on NBC's "Saturday Night Live," and surely has more TV appearances in his future.

It's also worth noting that the AP estimated his 2012 earnings at $8.1 million, largely thanks to YouTube advertisements and iTunes downloads.
