The stars of the cult and social media hit "Sharknado" were out on Friday night for Syfy and The Asylum's red carpet event and one-night only midnight screening.
The film's cast and production team did the step and repeat inside the Regal Cinemas at L.A. Live, where stars Ian Ziering, Tara Reid, John Heard ("Home Alone"), Christopher Wolfe and others faced the cameras alongside director Anthony C. Ferrante and screenwriter Thunder Levin.

The country-wide midnight screenings were enjoyed in the wake of a recent "Sharknado" merchandising announcement. Both decisions came about as a result of upward-trending ratings each time Syfy has aired the campy tornado-full-of-sharks movie.
