The multihyphenate debuted first look at his latest film ahead of its premiere at the Venice Film festival this week
James Franco has released the first teaser for his next directorial effort, "Child of God," ahead of its world premiere on Saturday at the 70th annual Venice Film Festival.
Based on a novel by Cormac McCarthy ("No Country for Old Men"), the film follows a violent social outcast living in 1960s Tennessee. The titular character is played by Scott Haze, who also starred in Franco's William Faulkner adaptation, "As I Lay Dying."
Tim Blake Nelson ("O Brother, Where Art Thou?") and Jim Parrack ("True Blood") co-star in the indie drama written by Franco and Vince Jolivette.
