Sorry, Maksim Chmerkovskiy fans, this “Dancing With the Stars” pro will be keeping his dancing shoes in the closet for the foreseeable future.

Chmerkovskiy, who was forced to bow out of this week’s episode after suffering a calf injury, took to Instagram on Tuesday to give fans an update on his well-being, and to make it known that he won’t be on next week’s episode either.

He added that he doesn’t “have a concrete return date” for the ABC competition series.

On next week’s episode as with this week’s, dancer Alan Bersten will step in for Chmerkovskiy with his partner, former “Glee” star Heather Morris.

“Thank you all for so much love and support! And for having @heatherrelizabethh back with all your votes,” the dancer wrote. “I’m also very excited about her and @alanbersten Tango next week.”

He continued, “Please rest assured that I’m taking this thing very seriously and, although I don’t have a concrete return date, I’ll give it my all!”

The pro hoofer also posted a photo of himself bending over in a hospital gown, which could be related to his injury, or is perhaps merely a gift to his fans rewarding them for their patience.
