Miles Teller and Shailene Woodley will no longer hit the high seas together, TheWrap has learned.

Teller has stepped away from the STX drama “Adrift,” which would have reunited him with frequent costar Woodley for Baltasar Kormákur’s hurricane thriller.

Teller dropped out two weeks ago over scheduling conflicts, multiple individuals familiar with the project told TheWrap. Actor Sam Claflin (“The Hunger Games, “Me Before You”) is in close talks to replace him as Woodley’s co-star in the survival tale.

Aaron and Jordan Kandell wrote the script based on the harrowing true story of Tami Oldham, one half of a fanatic adventure sailing couple who get stuck in a devastating hurricane while delivering a boat from Tahiti to San Diego.

After battling 40-foot waves and 140-knot winds, Oldham struggles to make it to safety with no technology or navigation and severely damaged boat.

Woodley and Teller have previously starred in the indie breakout “The Spectacular Now,” and three films in Lionsgate’s “Divergent” series where the pair amassed quiet a few fans. Woodley herself was excited to get to work, posting photos to her Instagram account of the pair taking surf lessons.

Teller is off to star in director Nicolas Winding Refn’s Amazon series “Too Old to Die Young.”

Written by Refn and Ed Brubaker, the series explores the criminal underbelly of Los Angeles by following killers’ existential journeys in becoming samurai.

Both Teller and Claflin are repped by CAA.
