Sneak Peak at ‘Dexter’s’ Season Five From Comic Con (Video)

Dexter Morgan faces suspicions from family members and his colleagues at the Miami Police Department on next season of the hit Showtime series

The fifth season of "Dexter" doesn't begin until Sept. 26, but Showtime premiered two new trailers at Comic Con that reveal a ton about what's next on the show.

Season four's storyline featured Dexter Morgan, a blood-spatter expert with the Miami Police Department who moonlights as a murderous vigilante doing battle with a twisted serial murderer known as the "Trinity Killer." The final episode of the season, where Dexter discovered that Trinity killed his new wife, Rita, was Showtime's most-watched original show ever.

Season four of "Dexter" earned a slew of Emmy nominations July 8 including a best actor nod for star Michael C. Hall and a supporting actor nom for John Lithgow's portrayal of Trinity.

Dexter finished Trinity off in the season finale, but the next installment of the show will feature new guest stars Julia Stiles, Shawn Hatosy and Jonny Lee Miller.

Based on the trailer, it looks like Dexter spends season five riddled with guilt and facing dangerous accusations in the aftermath of his wife's death. Scenes in the two videos show Dexter dealing with the suspicions of his family and his colleagues in the Police Department.

Showtime debuted the new footage at the "Dexter: Under The Knife" Comic Con panel Thursday. See both new "Dexter" season five videos for yourself below.
