Lady Gaga has become the top-selling artist for digital singles ever with 20 million downloads sold, according to the Recording Industry Assn. of America.
The chanteuse, who won three Grammys last month, has tied the Black Eyed Peas’ “I Gotta Feeling” for the top-selling digital song with "Just Dance"; the song has reached the six-times multi-Platinum designation. Also contributing to Gaga's tally: “Poker Face,” five times multi-Platinum; “Bad Romance,” four times multi-Platinum; “Paparazzi,” three times multi-Platinum, and “Love Game,” two times multi-Platinum.
Rihanna and Taylor Swift are No. 2 and 3 top sellers of digital singles, with 19 million and 18.5 million respectively. The Black Eyed Peas is the top group in the category, with certified sales of 17.5 million units.
RIAA awarded 20 digital single and12 album certifications in February.
