Samuel L. Jackson to Reunite With Harvey Keitel? Producer Wants It to Happen

Producer Andras Hamori hopes to entice Keitel to join his fellow “Pulp Fiction” co-star in “The Samaritan,” about to get underway in Toronto

Filming of Samuel L. Jackson's new movie "The Samaritan" is about to begin, but the producer has one more part he'd like to fill — a tiny role that would reunite the actor with his "Pulp Fiction" costar Harvey Keitel.

"I have a delicious cameo," Andras Hamori, the producer, told TheWrap.

Hamori said that Keitel "doesn't even know about it," but he is "talking to his people, and it is my desire to have him in the movie."

"The Samaritan" already reunites Hamori with Jackson, star of "Formula 51," a 2001 crime movie.

The new movie is about an ex-con who decides he's had enough of being a grifter, but is drawn by his old partner's son into a new scam.

"Sam sent me this script and said, 'What do you think? Let's make it,'" Hamori said. "That was a year-and-a-half ago."

The movie starts filming on Sunday in Toronto. It also will film in Rio de Janerio and will be released in early 2012.

Hamori also produced "Cheri," "eXistenZ" and "Sunshine."

The movie was written by Elan Mastai ("Alone in the Dark") and David Weaver and also stars Luke Kirby ("Take This Waltz," "Shattered Glass") and Ruth Negga ("Colour Me Kubrick," "Breakfast on Pluto.")

Mark Musselman ("Barney's Version," "Being Julia") is executive producer.

The movie is an Andras Hamori/H2O Motion Pictures production in association with Lumino Pictures, Middle Child Films, Anonymous Content and Quickfire Films, with the participation of Telefilm Canada, the Harold Greenberg Fund and the Ontario Media Development Corp.
