Victoria Jackson’s Greatest Right-Wing Rants

A look back at the former “Saturday Night Live” funny-lady-turned right-wing-nutjob’s most entertaining reactionary tirades

Former "Saturday Night Live" comedienne Victoria Jackson caused a splash and raised eyebrows when she lashed out at the musical comedy "Glee" for allegedly cramming homosexuality down the world's throat.

But it's hardly the first time that she's raised a stink with her opinion. The funny lady-turned-right-wing fundamentalist has been keeping the world entertained with her eyebrow-raising proclamations for several years now.

Below, TheWrap presents a compendium of Jackson's most provocative — and nutty — proclamations.

Jackson takes a balanced approach to the election between Barack Obama and John McCain — by suggesting that Obama might actually be Satan, or at least closely related to him, observing, "Obama bears traits that resemble the anti- Christ and I'm scared to death that uneducated people will ignorantly vote him into office."

As America prepares to vote for a new president, Jackson checks in on "The O'Reilly Factor" to declare Obama a Communist — or, in her words, much like "Castro in Cuba, the guy in China." Jackson's declaration prompts O'Reilly to do the nearly inconceivable — defend Obama as a likely capitalist because he "buys things."

As a new political force grows with the ascendancy of the Tea Party, Jackson appears on "Fox & Friends" to lend some credibility to the movement. Unfortunately, her credibility might have been damaged with the suggestion that she might be some kind of fortune-teller: "Progressive is the new word for Communist, but it's the same goal as government control of everything and it's very obvious that Obama is trying to do that. And I don't want to brag, but I sort of called it before he was elected, and when I was on O'Reilly, and I said he was a Communist, and I got a lot of hate mail, but I got some that said I was a prescient, which means 'a prophet.''"

Jackson declares that she's angry at her fellow Christians because they just haven't been politically rabid enough. "Life is a mission field," she writes for Big Hollywood. "Politics is just one small slice of life. Waving the banner of Christ in the political arena is just as important as waving it on a mission trip to Mexico or Haiti, or waving it in a jungle in Africa … Let’s put Jesus back into politics. He can fix it. He can fix anything. Luke 1:37."

But while J.C. might be the way and the light as far as Jackson is concerned, there is another guiding force in her life — Fox News, of course! In the video intervew below, Jackson asserts that the channel that gave us Beck, O'Reilly, Hannity, et al, stands as the sole beacon of truth in a sea of  corrosive liberal lies. As she notes, with somewhat evangelical fervor, "Fox News is everything. It's our only channel of truth":

Jackson discovers that her effort to fight the good fight has come at a cost — it seems that the Marxist Obama government might be spying on her in a likely effort to silence the opposition! Luckily, the ever-perceptive Jackson is on to their crafty ways.
