Deadspin Editor A.J. Daulerio Details His Trippy Video Game Exploits

Daulerio decides to spend his trip playing a baseball video game, posts a video and photos

Deadspin.com editor A.J. Daulerio is no stranger to salacious material – remember those Brett Favre penis photos? – but public use of hard drugs was uncharted territory. Until now.

Daulerio posted a story on his site Monday detailing his acid trip, focused on his efforts to throw a no-hitter with former pitcher Dock Ellis on "MLB2K11."

Daulerio begins with an anecdote that makes reference to hallucinating, and then drops the bomb in paragraph two:

“Other than that, I had a perfectly pleasant first LSD experience, one made only slightly less pleasant by my attempts to recreate Dock Ellis's acid-addled June 12, 1970, no-hitter on the Xbox version of 'MLB2K11.' ”

Daulerio recounts 49 games worth of playing – he quit each one the moment he gave up a hit – and includes an interlude where he went outside to get some pizza. Each letter of the header “Outside!!” was in a different color.

Daulerio writes, "Toder relayed my order for me and handled the money transaction with the counterperson, because I could not possibly participate in such activities with the dickhead pizza being all mouthy and with the fearsome heat of that big oven so close by."

Not only does Daulerio reveal the details of his trip, but he posted a photo of the substance in question.

Apparently his bosses signed off on it. God speed.
