Bravo President Frances Berwick to Also Oversee Style Network

Salaam Coleman Smith will remain president of the fashion channel, reporting to Berwick

NBC Universal has expanded the role of Bravo president Frances Berwick, giving her oversight of the Style Network, too, the company announced Tuesday.

Salaam Coleman Smith will remain president of Style, reporting to Berwick, who will now operate under the title of president of Bravo and Style Media.

Under her new title, Berwick will provide strategic oversight of the Style Network, in addition to heading up Bravo Media's day-to-day operations.

Berwick will continue to report to Lauren Zalaznick, chairman, NBC Universal entertainment & digital networks and integrated media.

The move is part of the ongoing effort to integrate NBCU's cable properties with those Comcast brought over during their merger, which was consumated earlier this year.

"Frances’ tenure at Bravo has been marked by industry-leading ratings and revenue growth,” Zalaznick noted while announcing the promotion. “She has been enormously successful in leading a team to create an immersive brand experience for the consumer. I know that she will bring that same vision for cultural zeitgeist and keen sensibility to Style as we evolve and grow this network in the months and years to come.”

Berwick was promoted to president of Bravo Media last year, after a two-year stint as general manager that saw a 33 percent increase in original programming. Prior to that, she served as executive vice president, programming and production. Berwick's accomplishments at Bravo include developing the Emmy-winning series "Queer Eye," "Project Runway," "Top Chef" and "Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List."
