Dr. Drew Pinsky is going back to VH1 for more televised rehab, but this time he'll do it without a cast of D-list celebrities.
"Rehab With Dr. Drew" is the tentative title for Pinsky's "Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew" follow-up, and will see him return to the Pasadena Recovery Center, but this time to steer a group of not-famous — yet — people in their twenties and thirties through an addiction recovery program.
Eight one-hour episodes of the series are scheduled to premiere on the network in the summer.

"I am so excited to once again have the opportunity to educate viewers about the deadly disease of addiction," Pinksy said. "More than 85 million Americans are affected by addiction, whether they’ve faced the disease themselves or have supported family members or friends through a substance abuse issue. The stigma and shame associated with drug and alcohol addiction prevents many from getting the help that they need. It is my sincere hope that this show will encourage people who are struggling to seek the help."
"Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew" ran for five seasons on VH1, and spawned two spin-off series, "Sober House" and "Sex Rehab With Dr. Drew." Celebrities who participated in "Celebrity Rehab" include Daniel Baldwin, Brigitte Nielsen, Gary Busey, Rodney King, Heidi Fleiss, Dennis Rodman, Tom Sizemore, Leif Garrett, Eric Roberts and the late Jeff Conaway and Alice in Chains bassist Mike Starr.
