Fred Willard's "Trust Us With Your Life" plunges in the week after adult-theater scandal
NBC's "America's Got Talent" shared a three-way tie for first with Fox's "Hell's Kitchen" and "MasterChef" Tuesday night, with Fox taking the top ratings in the key demographic and NBC grabbing most-watched honors.
Meanwhile, "Trust Us With Your Life" dropped 33 percent from last week, following the off-stage antics of host Fred Willard, according to preliminary numbers.
Fox came in first in the advertiser-friendly 18-49 demographic and third in total viewers with a 2.6 rating/8 share and 6.2 million.
Gordon Ramsay's "Hell's Kitchen" and "MasterChef" both inched up in the demo, starting with "Kitchen" at 8 p.m., which posted a 2.6/9 and attracted 6.2 million total viewers. "MasterChef" the following hour drew a 2.6/7 and also grabbed 6.2 million total viewers.
NBC took second place in ratings and first in total viewers, averaging a 2.2/7 and 8.4 million. Though flat in the demo from last week, "America's Got Talent" at 8 tied for first with a 2.6/8 and was the night's most-watched program by far with 10.3 million total viewers. The season finale of "Love in the Wild" at 10 was also even in the demo with last week, drawing a 1.3/4 and pulling in 4.5 million total viewers.
Univision came in third in the demo and fourth in total viewers with a 1.4/4 and 3.6 million.
CBS, which aired repeats throughout the night, drew fourth place in the demo and second in total viewers with a 1.1/3 and 6.3 million.
ABC pulled fifth place in ratings and total viewers with a 0.8/2 and 3.1 million. Following repeats of "The Middle" and "Last Man Standing," the network's slate of original programming saw drops across the board.
At 9, "Trust Us With Your Life" dropped to a 0.6/2 and drew 1.9 million total viewers. A second episode at 9:30 fared just as poorly, also dropping 33 percent for a 0.6/2 and receiving 1.8 million total viewers. "ABC News: N.Y. Med" at 10 was also down in the demo, although by a more modest 8 percent, posting a 1.1/3 and attracting 4.3 million total viewers.
