Rayder is crucial to the third season of HBO's "Game of Thrones": The second season finale ended with Night’s Watchman Jon Snow (Kit Harington) being taken to meet Rayder.

Hinds was born in Belfast, where "Game of Thrones" bases its production. His other roles include turns in "Munich," "The Sum of All Fears," "Road to Perdition," and "There Will Be Blood."
