McG is set to direct a feature film based on the legendary Hollywood venue the Magic Castle for Fox, the studio told TheWrap.

Radar Pictures' Ted Field and Mike Weber are producing for the studio, from a script by Andrew Barrer and Gabe Ferrari, although the story is being kept closely under wraps.

The membership-only Magic Castle, a Los Angeles Culture Monument, became a private magic club in the 1960s, and stages nightly shows for members and their guests.

McG is currently working on the Kevin Costner feature, “Three Days to Kill.” The Magic Caste project is expected to follow that.

McG last worked with Field in the 1990s, when he directed music videos for Interscope Records, which was co-founded by Field.

Radar is currently in postproduction on a “Chronicles of Riddick” sequel and recently wrapped “Spring Breakers” from writer-director Harmony Korine.
