"Dancing With the Stars" is the night's most-watched program
Though down slightly from last week, NBC's singing competition "The Voice" was dominant Monday night, giving the network a ratings win, while the CW's "90210" reached a season high in total viewers, according to preliminary numbers.
NBC took first place in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic with a 3.8 rating/9 share and second in total viewers with 13 million. "The Voice" at 8 p.m. ticked down 4 percent in the demo from last week but took a decisive first place with a 4.3/11 and drew 11.5 million total viewers.
The J.J. Abrams drama "Revolution" at 10 also saw a minor downturn, posting a 2.6/7 with 7.1 million total viewers.
CBS drew second place in ratings with a 2.5/6 and third in total viewers with 7.9 million. "How I Met Your Mother" at 8 was up slightly from last week with a 3.0/8 and drew 7.9 million total viewers, while the freshman comedy "Partners" at 8:30 dropped 14 percent to a 1.8/5 and had 5.6 million total viewers.
"2 Broke Girls" at 9 was flat with last week, taking a 3.2/8 and 9 million total viewers, while "Mike & Molly" at 9:30 inched up to a 3.0/7 and had 9.2 million total viewers. "Hawaii 5-0" at 10 posted a 2.0/5 with 7.7 million total viewers.
Univision grabbed third place in ratings and fifth in total viewers with a 1.6/4 and 3.7 million.
While ABC's numbers are more approximate than usual due to football pre-preemptions, the network currently holds fourth place in ratings but first in total viewers with a 1.4/3 and 13 million. The total viewership win was largely due to "Dancing With the Stars"' at 8, which inched up to a 2.2/5 and was the night's most-watched program with 14/3 million total viewers.
"Castle" at 10 was also up, growing 11 percent in the demo for a 2.1/5 and drawing 10.7 million total viewers.
At the CW, which averaged a 0.5/1 and 1 million total viewers, "90210" at 8 enjoyed its highest total viewership so far this season, grabbing 1.2 million total viewers — a 40 percent jump over last week. (The series posted a 0.6/2 in the demo.) "Gossip Girl" the following hour was also up in total viewers, climbing 22 percent to 808,000, and drew a 0.4/1 in the demo.
