‘Gangnam Style’ Beats Justin Bieber’s ‘Baby’ to Become Most-Viewed YouTube Video

Psy's hit single has accumulated more than 826 million views on YouTube, compared to the 805 million for Justin Bieber's "Baby"

Justin Bieber is no longer America's pop prince — a 34-year-old Korean man is.

Psy's "Gangnam Style" has beaten Bieber's "Baby" to become the most-viewed YouTube video of all time. As of Monday, the music video has racked up over 826 million views since being uploaded on July 15, 2012. Bieber's hit, on the other hand, has only accumulated a measly 805 million since Feb. 19, 2010.

And the rise of the K-pop hit was nothing short of explosive. It surpassed 200 million views in just over two month's time and, according to YouTube Trends, is still being watched between 7 million and 10 million times a day.

Comparatively, more people seem to actually enjoy Psy's single more than Bieber's too. "Gangnam Style" has garnered an overwhelming majority of "likes," with 5,470,789, while only 1,448,260 folks have given "Baby" the thumbs up.

Still, Bieber's collection of YouTube offerings are still dominating overall. His VEVO channel alone has amassed 3 billion visitors. With just over a billion visitors to his official channel, Psy will need to prove he's not just a one-international-hit-wonder to continue the climb.
