Fox is ready to roll with a new dating reality show.
The network has ordered a pilot for "Babes on a Bus," which will feature 10 women hitting the road and scouring the county for Mr. Right. Along their mating-obsessed road trip, the women will be enticed with the various towns' finest restaurants, romantic scenery and other amenities, as suitors attempt to woo them.
At the end of each week, the women will be faced with the decision to either remain in the town that they've just visited, or board the bus again for the next destination.
The pilot, which is being produced by reality TV powerhouse Endemol USA ("Fear Factor," "Deal or No Deal," etc.), is being adapted from a series that originated in Norway. The format has also been sold in Denmark, Germany, Norway, France, the Netherlands and Slovenia.
Earlier this year, Fox attempted to make inroads in the reality-dating genre with "The Choice," which found contestants vying for dates with celebrities, and "Take Me Out," which had bachelors attempting to impress a group of women whose numbers slowly dwindle as they decide to take them out of the pool of potential couplings.
