"Zero Hour" has run out of time, and quickly at that.
The ABC drama, which starred "ER" alum Anthony Edwards as the head of a conspiracy-theory magazine, has been pulled from the network's schedule after just three episodes.
The series got off to an inauspicious start with its Feb. 14 premiere, drawing a soft 1.3 rating/4 share in the advertiser-sought 18-49 demographic. The ratings declined from there; for its most recent episode Thursday night, when it should have benefited from a night heavy on repeats from the competition, the series hit a low of 1.0/3.
ABC will air repeats of "Shark Tank" in its place for the next two weeks, with "Wife Swap" taking over the Thursdays at 8 slot after that for the next seven weeks, after which "Wipeout" will assume the slot.
The network still plans to air the remaining episodes of "Zero Hour," likely in the summer.
While "Zero Hour" had a brief run, it isn't the shortest-lived new series of the year so far. NBC's Jekyll and Hyde-themed "Do No Harm" was yanked last month after just two episodes.
