CBS wins in total viewers, even though two of three shows were repeats
A steady "The Voice" carried NBC to a win in the key demographic Tuesday, as CBS won in total viewers — even though two of its three shows were repeats — according to preliminary numbers. ABC's new diving competition "Splash," meanwhile, sunk to a new low.
NBC won the 18-49 demo with a 2.4 rating/7 share and landed third in total viewers, averaging 6.8 million. At 8 p.m., "The Voice" scored a 4.5/14, even with last Tuesday's episode and matching its Tuesday season high. It had 13.8 million total viewers, making it the most-watched show of the night. From 9-11, the new reality competition "Ready for Love" had a 1.3/4 and 3.4 million, dragging down NBC's averages. It was down 13 percent in the key demo from last week's premiere.
CBS was second in the demo with a 1.6/5 and first in total viewers with 9.8 million. After reruns of "NCIS: LA" and "NCIS," a new episode of "Golden Boy" at 10 had a 1.5/4 — even with last week — and 8 million total viewers.
ABC, Univision and Fox tied for third in the demo. All had a 1.5/4.
ABC was second in total viewers with 8.9 million. "Splash" at 8 had a 1.1/3 in the demo — its lowest rating so far — and 5.2 million total viewers. "Dancing With the Stars" at 9 was up slightly from last week to a 2.1/6 in the demo. It had 12.5 million total viewers, making it the most-watched show after "The Voice." At 10, "Body of Proof" had a 1.4/4 in the demo and 9 million total viewers.
Univision was fourth in total viewers with 3.6 million.
Fox was fifth in total viewers with 3.4 million. "Hell's Kitchen" at 8 had a 1.9/6 and 4.6 million total viewers. After that the network aired repeats.
