The FBI hopes to use the power of the media to help track down two people of interest in connection to the terrorist attacks in Boston on Monday.
In a press conference held on Thursday afternoon, the FBI confirmed that it has identified two suspects and asked the public to help find them.
"Suspect 1 is wearing a dark hat, Suspect 2 is wearing a white hat," FBI Special Agent Richard DesLauriers reveals. "Suspect 2 set down a backpack at the site of the second explosion just in front of the Forum Restaurant."

DesLauriers encourages anyone who was at the Forum Restaurant at the time to contact authorities.
The images and video show Suspect 1 with his dark hat, wearing light-brown pants, dark sunglasses and carrying a black backpack. Suspect 2 is shown wearing his white baseball hat backwards, a dark jacket, jeans and carrying a white backpack.
The suspects seem to be associated with each other and are considered “armed and extremely dangerous” by the agency. The FBI emphasizes that no one should try to apprehend or approach the suspects.

The agent emphasized that the public only refer to the images found on the FBI website and not those that spread on the internet on Wednesday, which “unnecessarily divert the public’s attention in the wrong direction.”
