Jimmy Kimmel Makes ‘Very, Very Drunk’ Speech at Time 100 Gala (Video)

"Live" host Jimmy Kimmel knocks back five drinks in less than four minutes while paying tribute to his fellow funny people

Hopefully Jimmy Kimmel had a designated driver at the Time 100 gala in New York on Tuesday night.

The "Live With Jimmy Kimmel" host delivered a very spirited toast at the event, knocking back five drinks in less than four minutes while getting, as he put it, "very, very drunk."

Toasting future "Tonight Show" host Jimmy Fallon, who plied Kimmel with most of the drinks, Kimmel noted, "Jimmy's probably a bigger influence on me than anyone in this room because he's so talented and energetic that he forces me to be the best that i can be. Quite frankly, it's a pain in the ass. I'd appreciate it if you slowed down a little. But I love him and I want to toast my future rival, Jimmy Fallon — who's getting me very, very drunk."

During his speech, Kimmel also toasted Vice President Biden — "maybe the funniest of all of us" — and "Girls" star Lena Dunham: The kid genius … so funny, and so honest, and who taught me not to be ashamed of my own breasts."
