‘Eastbound & Down’ Teaser: The One True King Will Rise Again (Video)

The fourth and final season of the comedy series created by Danny McBride, Jody Hill and Ben Best returns to HBO this fall

This fall, the one true king will rise again when "Eastbound & Down" returns for a fourth and final season.

And it's going to be "epic," according to the first teaser trailer for the new season of the HBO comedy series.

Although the third season was widely expected to be the last, HBO decided to give Kenny Powers another shot at pitching his brand of obnoxious and foul-mouthed comedy to fans last summer. The first of eight final episodes will premiere Sept. 29 in the 10 p.m. time slot, followed by HBO's newest half-hour comedy series, "Hello Ladies."

No synopsis has been released yet, but expect the conclusion of "Eastbound" to focus on Powers' relationship with his baby's mama, April, who is played by Katy Mixon.

Danny McBride, the co-creator and star of the series, told HitFix that the third season was originally supposed to focus on the couple's relationship after Powers returned from Mexico (where most of Season 2 took place), but Mixon's schedule got busier due to her role on CBS' "Mike & Molly." Now, however, she's apparently much more involved and audiences will finally see what Powers' life is like after settling down with the love of his life.

Here's the first look at the last America will see of HBO's one true king:
