The supporting-actress Oscar winner for “Pollock” will play Christian Grey's mother
Marcia Gay Harden has joined the cast of “Fifty Shades of Grey” as Dr. Grace Trevelyan Grey, the adoptive mother of Christian Grey.
Shooting just began on the adaptation of E.L. James’ best-selling novel, which Sam Taylor-Johnson is directing from a script by Kelly Marcel that has also had polishing from Patrick Marber and Mark Bomback.
“Miller's Crossing” star Harden, who won an Academy Award for best supporting actress in “Pollock,” just shot Woody Allen‘s “Magic in the Moonlight,” and recently starred in HBO's “The Newsroom” and the JFK drama “Parkland.”
She is represented by UTA, manager Maryellen Mulcahy of Framework Entertainment and attorneys James Adams and Ira Schreck.
