The CW explores the world of young Mary Stuart in new historical drama.
Mary Queen of who?
If you are more familiar with “Game of Thrones” families, the Starks and Lannisters, than you are with actual historical monarchies, it may be time for a royal refresher course.
Thankfully, The CW has it covered. Take 30 seconds to get educated in a new video above. You may actually become interested in the story of Mary Queen of Scots, the central character on The CW's new historical drama, “Reign.”
“Reign” premieres on Thursday at 9/8c on The CW. It stars Adelaide Kane (“Teen Wolf,” “The Purge”) as young Queen Mary, who's on her way to French court to meet her betrothed, the future king of France, Prince Francis (Tony Regbo).
The series cast includes Torrance Coombs (“The Tudors”), Megan Follows (“Anne of Green Gables”), Alan Van Sprang (“The Tudors”), Anna Popplewell (“The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader”) and Jenessa Grant (“Cyberbully”).
From CBS Television Studios and Warner Bros. Television, “Reign” is executive-produced by Laurie McCarthy (“Ghost Whisperer”) and Frank Siracusa (“Beauty And The Beast”).
