Singer Aaron Carter and his girlfriend Madison Parker were arrested Saturday in Cornelia, Georgia, on DUI and drug charges, the AP reported.

Habersham County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Capt. Floyd Canup told the AP that Carter was accused of driving while drunk and carrying less-than an ounce of marijuana and paraphernalia.

Carter‘s rep didn’t immediately respond to TheWrap’s request for comment.

The evening of the arrest, Carter’s Twitter account posted the following message:

“Due to transportation issues, Aaron will not make his set time tonight in Kansas City. He promises to come back soon. He apologizes to his fans in KC and Mix93.3.”
