ABC Renews ‘Mistresses’ for Season 4

Summer drama is based on a UK drama of the same name

ABC has renewed “Mistresses” for a fourth season, TheWrap has learned.

The summer series is based on the U.K. series of the same name, which follows four female friends and the drama that fills their lives.

“Mistresses” stars “Lost” alum Yunjim Kim, Rochelle Aytes, Jes Macallan and Jennifer Esposito. Alyssa Milano previously starred on the show, but left after Season 2. The show also stars Jason George, Brett Tucker and Corinne Massiah.

Esposito will not be returning to the show, however, as she only had a one year deal in place, an individual with knowledge of the situation told TheWrap.

The show averaged around 3.1 million viewers per episode during season three, and enjoyed impressive delayed viewing numbers. The season three finale rose 57 percent in Live + 3 in the key adults 18-49 demographic.

Rina Mimoun, KJ Steinberg, Robert Sertner and Douglas Rae executive produce the series. ABC Studios produces.
