The actress will appear on the ABC drama's final eight episodes of the season
Does Olivia Pope have a new ally or enemy?
We can't be sure, but ABC's “Scandal” has just cast Nazanin Boniadi in a major recurring role over this season's final eight episodes, which kick off on Feb. 27, a show representative told TheWrap.
This casting is also a reunion for Boniadi and “Scandal” creator Shonda Rhimes as the actress previously guest-starred on the ninth season of “Grey's Anatomy.”
Boniadi most recently played Nora — Barney Stinson's (Neil Patrick Harris) ex-girlfriend, and Robin Scherbatsky's (Cobie Smulders) co-worker at World Wide News — on CBS's “How I Met Your Mother.” She also appeared on the third season of Showtime's “Homeland” as FBI analyst Fara Sherazi.
Her other TV credits include Fox's “24,” NBC comedy “Best Friends Forever” and a two-year stint on ABC daytime soap, “General Hospital,” as Leyla Mir.
AKA Talent Agency, Jordan Lee Talent and Stone, Meyer, Genow, Smelkinson and Binder represent Boniadi.
