ABC News anchor Diane Sawyer has nabbed the first broadcast interview with Gabrielle Giffords, the Arizona congresswoman who was injured during a mass shooting in January.
Sawyer will interview Giffords, who was released from a rehabilitation hospital in June, along with her husband, former astronaut Mark Kelly on Nov. 14.
Sawyer was also the first person to interview Kelly after the shooting.

The interview will air the day before the publication of Giffords' memoir “Gabby: A Story of Courage and Hope,” which she wrote with Kelly.
Though the memoir touches on much of Giffords' life, with a particular focus on her marriage, it does discuss the shooting, in which 19 people were shot, six of whom died.
