Telemundo has partnered with NBCUniversal Domestic TV Distribution to launch a new co-branded weekly segment called “Access Hollywood Al Rojo Vivo,” which will air Fridays at 5 p.m. ET on the Spanish-language network’s “Al Rojo Vivo con María Celeste.”
The segment will be hosted by entertainment reporter Jessica Carrillo and is produced in Los Angeles. A native from Jalisco, Mexico, Carrillo joined Telemundo a decade ago as a news anchor in Las Vegas. She then became an entertainment reporter for several Telemundo local newscasts and for the network’s entertainment show “Cotorrreando.” Most recently, she was an entertainment reporter at Telemundo’s Los Angeles station KVEA.
The show itself is hosted by Emmy Award-winning journalist Maria Celeste Arraras.
“‘Access Hollywood’ is the trend-setter and leader in entertainment news and we are excited to extend our unique style to ‘Al Rojo Vivo’ exposing our brand to Telemundo’s Hispanic audience,” said Rob Silverstein, executive producer of “Access Hollywood.”
“It’s an unbeatable combination: ‘Access Hollywood,’ the country’s number one entertainment news magazine, and ‘Al Rojo Vivo,’ Telemundo’s highest-rated news magazine,” said Alina Falcon, executive vice president, News and Alternative Programming. “Hispanics are huge consumers of entertainment news so we are very excited to bring this great brand and content to our audience across the country.”
“Access Hollywood” is currently in its 18th season in national syndication.
