After 2 Episodes, NBC Pulls Plug on ‘The Paul Reiser Show’

Thursday night sitcom had lowest rated debut in network history

Now, Paul Reiser has something to really be mad about.

NBC cancelled "The Paul Reiser Show" on Friday after just two episodes, TheWrap has confirmed.

The "Mad About You" star's critically panned return to television debuted to the lowest ratings in network history; 3.3 million viewers and a 1.1 rating in the key 18-49 demographic.

The bleeding showed no signs of stopping as “Reiser” suffered an 18 percent drop in its second week.

Starting next week, the network plans to air repeats of "The Office" in "Reiser"s' 8:30 p.m. timeslot. No decision has been made on when or if the remaining episodes of the series will air.
