Alec Baldwin has stepped into the New York tabloid wars, excoriating two New York Daily News reporters for showing up at his yoga class to take photos of his fiancé.
News leaked on Monday that Baldwin proposed to his girlfriend and yoga teacher, Hilaria Thomas, over the weekend. The 28-year old Spanish native is co-owner of the Yoga Vida studio in New York.
Two Daily News reporters, Simone Weichselbaum and Enid Alvarez, showed up at the studio on Monday, prompting Baldwin to go on one of his daily Twitter rants.
“Shame on the no-talent trash from the Daily News for invading the privacy of 75 people in a yoga class to take a picture of someone,” the “30 Rock” star tweeted.

Then he added, “In NYC, it's common knowledge that the News is trying to give the Post a run for its $ in the slime dept. Clearly, they're succeeding.”
There has been a rash of recent stories about a truce between the Daily News and the Post, two of the most popular dailies in the nation. One former Daily News editor, Martin Dunn, ripped his former paper for its timidity.
Maybe Baldwin can get them going again, though his mind appears to have already turned to Rupert Murdoch. Once again, Baldwin disparaged the News Corp. CEO, saying he is "rotten" and demanding that former lieutenant Rebekah Brooks be put in prison.
