Prepare to nuke your hangover from orbit (it’s the only way to be sure).

With three months to go before “Alien: Covenant’s” hits theaters on May 19, 20th Century Fox has released “Last Supper,” the official prologue to sci-fi thriller.

Set aboard the starship Covenant, a colonization vessel being sent to a new human settlement on a remote planet, the short takes place immediately before the events of the film proper. As they prepare to enter cryosleep, the crew of the titular ship have themselves a party to celebrate the long journey they’re about to take.

Watch it below.

The short was conceived of by Ridley Scott and 3AM, and directed by Luke Scott. RSA Films produced.

And nope, despite the title there’s no religious imagery here. But there is a very, very specific reference to “Alien,” the 1979 film that kicked off the entire franchise.

Directed by Ridley Scott, “Alien: Covenant” stars Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Carmen Ejogo, Amy Seimetz, Jussie Smollett, Callie Hernandez, Nathaniel Dean, Alexander England and Benjamin Rigby.

James Franco, who also shows up briefly in “Last Supper,” is also set to appear in an as-yet unknown way. Judging by what we see here, it’s likely he won’t be doing too well once by the start of the film itself.
