AMC Networks Elevates Elana Mandelup to Corporate Communications VP

Mandelup handles trade media relations for SundanceTV and AMC/Sundance Channel Global Networks

AMC Networks has promoted Elana Mandelup to vice president in its corporate communications department out of New York City. She reports to senior vice president of corporate communications, Georgia Juvelis.

Mandelup handles trade media relations for SundanceTV domestically as well as the AMC/Sundance Channel Global Networks across Europe, Asia and Latin America. She also works across the communications team on media coverage of their brand strategy, programming, marketing and sales initiatives.

“Elana’s top notch media relations skills and strategic communications counsel and support have been invaluable as the company has grown its Sundance brands, domestically and around the world,” Juvelis said in a statement.

She continued, “Her dedication and experience are a great asset as we position these businesses for continued expansion.”

Before joining the media company as a director in 2011, Mandelup developed a cross-discipline set of experience, which has included roles at ID Public Relations, production experience with Academy Award-winning producer Anthony Katagas and “Law & Order: Criminal Intent” executive producer John David Coles.

She has also worked on the agency side of the business in the TV literature department at WME and served as an NBC Page, working on “Saturday Night Live,” “The Nightly News with Brian Williams” and NBC Sports and Olympic Marketing.

Mandelup is a member of WICT, CTAM and ACC.

Mandelup earned an MA in strategic communications from Columbia University and a B.S. from Rutgers University.
