AMC’s ‘Low Winter Sun’ Preview: Blurring the Line Between Cops and Criminals (Exclusive Photos & Video)

The cable channel's new crime drama delves into the shady politics of a Detroit police department

The line between criminals and cops gets blurred on AMC's new crime drama, "Low Winter Sun."

The remake of the 2006 British miniseries relocates the story to Detroit where the difference between the good guys and the bad guys becomes increasingly hard to discern over the first season's 10 episodes premiering Sunday, Aug. 11 at 10/9c after "Breaking Bad."

British actor Mark Strong ("Zero Dark Thirty") returns to the role of Detective Frank Agnew in the series from showrunner Chris Mundy ("Criminal Minds," "Cold Case").

On the co-production between AMC Studio and Endemol Studios, Agnew and fellow homicide detective Joe Geddes ("The Walking Dead" and "Hung" actor Lennie James) think they've gotten away with murder. But, they don't know how much their actions put into motion forces that could destroy their lives.
