Ratings: Fox Settles for Fourth in Viewers With American Country Countdown Awards

NBC and ABC lock horns in first-place key demo tie

Fox’s American Country Countdown Awards didn’t hit the highest of notes on Sunday night, when the broadcast network tied for third place in the key 18-49 demographic and finished fourth in total viewers. Of course, repeats leading in dragged Fox’s overall primetime average down.

NBC and ABC tied for first in that main demo, though CBS beat everyone in total viewers.

The peacock-mascoted network and the Disney broadcaster notched atop the actual ratings leader board, both with a 1.1 rating/4 share in the advertiser-coveted demographic. NBC was second in total viewers with an average of 6.1 million, according to preliminary numbers. ABC was third with 4 million viewers.

For NBC, following a rerun, “Little Big Shots” at 8 p.m. earned a 1.6/6 and 9.9 million viewers. “The Carmichael Show” at 9 had a 1.0/3 and 4.6 million viewers. At 9:30, “Crowded” got a 0.8/2 and 3.2 million viewers. “Dateline” at 10 received a 1.0/3 and 5.5 million viewers.

For ABC, “America’s Funniest Home Videos” at 7 posted a 1.3/5 and 5.7 million viewers. “Once Upon a Time” at 8 put up a 1.2/4 and 3.8 million viewers. At 9, “The Family” managed a 0.8/3 and 3 million viewers. “Quantico” at 10 landed a 1.0/3 and 3.3 million viewers.

CBS and Fox tied for third in ratings, both with a 0.9/3. CBS was first in total viewers with 8.6 million. Fox was fourth with 3.1 million.

For CBS, “60 Minutes” at 7 had a 1.0/4 and 10.2 million viewers. “Madam Secretary” at 8 got a 1.0/3 and 9.9 million viewers. At 9, “The Good Wife” received a 1.0/3 and 9 million viewers. “Elementary” followed at 10 with a 0.8/2 and 5.5 million viewers.

For Fox, following repeats, the country music awards show posted a 1.0/3 and 3.8 million viewers.

Univision was fifth in ratings with a 0.6/2 and in viewers with 1.8 million.

Telemundo was sixth in ratings with a 0.4/2 and in viewers with 1.3 million.
