Latest sneak peek at “American Horror Story: Coven” is feeling very bullish — and quite spooky
With “American Horror Story: Coven” less than a month away (mark Oct. 9 on your calendars), FX has released a new snippet designed to whet fans’ appetites while chilling their spines.
The new teaser — dubbed “Initiation” — for the Ryan Murphy/Brad Falchuk series features a small army of witches descending on a home with a couple of bodies hanging outside of it. As Evan Peters peers down on the scene from a window, an ominous version of “House of the Rising Sun” plays.
And because this is “American Horror Story,” where random acts of creepiness are pretty much a requirement, there's also some type of half-man, half-bull creature sprawled out on the porch.
The latest iteration of “American Horror Story” is set more than 300 years after the Salem witch trials, with those who managed to escape the trials facing extinction. Mysterious attacks have been escalating against their kind, and young girls are being sent away to a special school in New Orleans to learn how to protect themselves.
Peters, Jessica Lange and Sarah Paulson are among the returning cast; new players include Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Gabourey Sidibe and Danny Huston.
