Half the fun of “American Horror Story” is the unique, creative art that FX puts out every summer to promote the upcoming season, and the upcoming “Cult” is no exception.
Just days after revealing the seventh season’s premise at San Diego Comic-Con, the show unveiled the official poster and it takes the term “hive mind” — quite literally.

After skewering reality TV with “My Roanoke Nightmare” last season, “Cult” moves AHS from Virginia to Michigan to follow a cult in the days following the 2016 presidential election.
Show creator Ryan Murphy has also revealed that Twisty, the clown that left fans screaming and raving on “AHS: Freak Show,” will play a role in the upcoming season.
AHS regulars Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Frances Conroy and Mare Winningham will return this season, along with Adina Porter, who made her “AHS” debut last year to rave reviews as Lee Harris. Newcomers to the series will include “Scream Queens” star Billie Lourd, along with Billy Eichner, Colton Haynes, and Lena Dunham.
“American Horror Story: Cult” premieres on FX Sept. 5.
