"American Idol" hopeful Jessica Sanchez delivered a daring cover of Whitney Houston song "I Will Always Love You" on Wednesday.
Sixteen-year-old Sanchez "just made 40 million people cry," judge Steven Tyler raved after her performance, and, aside from his wildly exaggerated sense of how many people are watching "Idol" these days, Sanchez's performance was the most moving Whitney Houston tribute since Amber Riley's "I Will Always Love You" cover on "Glee" last month.
Meanwhile, it was guys vs. females on "Idol" Wednesday, with the lowest vote-getting female and male going up for elimination on Thursday's results show. The "AI" judges will determine which contestant leaves the competition.
