David Kansas, a former Wall Street Journal editor, is succeeding Jon McTaggart as COO of American Public Media Group, parent company of Minnesota Public Radio and American Public Media.
McTaggart, who took over as CEO on July 1, announced the change in a statement Wednesday.
"Dave has terrifice journalistic and executive management experience. In addition to his strengths as an award-winning journalist, his experience building and leading innovative digital media companies and his strategic planning and business development skills will make him a great addition to our strong senior team," McTaggary said.
Kansas held a variety of editorial positions at the Journal, served as editor of Money and Investing and was also a founding member of TheStreet.com.
