Amy Schumer Shows Up on ‘Judge Judy,’ and Twitter Renders Its Verdict

Fans of courtroom reality series flip out as “Trainwreck” star makes a surprise appearance

Do not attempt to adjust your television sets, “Judge Judy” fans — that really was Amy Schumer in the audience during Thursday’s episode of the long-running courtroom reality show.

“Judge Judy” viewers rushed to Twitter en masse on Thursday, when it appeared that the actress/comedian was among those in the studio audience watching  Judge Judy Sheindlin dispense her trademark brand of grumpy justice.

The “Trainwreck” actress confirmed the appearance herself via Instagram on Thursday, posting an image of herself in the audience.

“Hell yeah! You know I was in the audience on #judgejudy,” Schumer wrote. “My sister and I sat in on the cases for the day because we love her!!!!!”

Schumer also shared a video of herself sitting in Sheindlin’s chair, goofing around with “Judge Judy” bailiff Petri Hawkins Byrd.

As the episode aired, “Judge Judy” viewers flocked to social media to weigh in on the surprise appearance.

“Am I seeing @amyschumer on Judge Judy right now? Aka how do I get to bare [sic] witness to @JudgeJudy ?!” wrote one viewer.

“Bitch why is Amy Schumer in the Judge Judy audience ,” another asked.

“wtf you doing on judge judy @amyschumer,” wondered yet another “Judge Judy” viewer.

“Hold up. Is that @amyschumer in the background of this Judge Judy episode??” marveled one onlooker.

“Watching Judge Judy…. isn’t that @amyschumer in the audience? ” another reaction read.
