‘Anchorman 2’ Trailer: Ron Burgundy Takes Manhattan (and Cable News)

The Action News team is back…24 hours a day

San Diego is too small a stage for Ron Burgundy.

The dim-witted anchor, perhaps the greatest addition to Will Ferrell's gallery of grotesques and buffoons, is back for another adventure in "Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues."

Only this time Burgundy and the Action News team are taking their talents to New York City, and cable news. A new trailer for the hotly anticipated comedy reveals that the film will take place a decade later, in the height of '80s era excess, just as 24-hour news channels are rising.

"I'm going to do the thing that God put Ron Burgundy on this earth to do — have salon quality hair and read the news," says Burgundy.

The new spot brings back the "Anchorman" team of Brick Tamland (Steve Carell), Brian Fontana (Paul Rudd) and Champ Kind (David Koechner), as well as new addition Kristen Wiig, who plays a love interest for Brick.

The film hits theaters on Dec. 20.
