New York City radio icon Angie Martinez has signed a development deal with Endemol Shine.

Alongside Major TV and Endemol, the production company behind “Big Brother” and “MasterChef,” the host of weekday radio program “The Angie Martinez Show” will develop unscripted and scripted content for both traditional and digital platforms.

Martinez’s experience isn’t limited to just radio, over her 20-year career she’s also covered pop culture on television and even written a memoir, “My Voice.”

“Angie is undeniably one of the most influential personalities in pop culture,” said Endemol Shine North America president Cris Abrego. “We’re thrilled to be in business with her and we’re already developing a handful of original, ground-breaking, projects with Angie and the team at Major TV.”

“Working with Endemol Shine is an exciting first step for me in defining the next phase of my career,” added Martinez, “I’m looking forward to using my voice and platform to develop content that authentically speaks to the culture.”

“The Angie Martinez Show,” airs on New York’s Power 105.1 and on Miami’s The Beat 103.5, and is also available through iHeartMedia.com and the iHeartMedia app.
