Ann Romney Invited on ‘Modern Family’ – Once Gay Marriage Is Legal

Prospective first lady says ABC hit is her favorite show

"Modern Family" co-creator Steve Levitan says he'd love to have Ann Romney officiate a same-sex marriage on "Modern Family."

"Thrilled Ann Romney says ModFam is her favorite show," Levitan tweeted. "We'll offer her the role of officiant at Mitch & Cam's wedding. As soon as it's legal."

Ann Romney's husband, Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, opposes same-sex marriage. But perhaps that will change now that his wife has an incentive to legalize it nationwide.

She seems to have the public speaking chops for handling the nuptials: She earned generally high marks for her speech at the Republican National Convention on Tuesday.
